Aims of the workshop The event will be focused on the use of continuous-spectrum quantum variables in quantum computation or quantum communication processes. It directly follows the previous CVQIP workshop held in Brussels from April 5th to April 8th 2002. The workshop aims at gathering a large part of the European scientists involved in this new burgeoning field. Both experimental and theoretical aspects will be discussed. The organization will also allow for much free time to develop informal discussions between the participants. The workshop is also an excellent time to help tie together many of the European research projects.
